The Samsung Galaxy Android EK-GC100 superzoom camera received perhaps its most high profile camera review yet, its review is finalized at Imaging Resource.
This is the last review we will add here for this camera and any other cameras without RAW. The bar is now pretty high for cameras without RAW to be included in the Camera Reviews stream – for practical reasons: way too many cameras out there!

Speaking of superzooms with RAW, here is another review of the Canon Powershot SX50 HS, the first in this particular line of Powershots to offer RAW out of the box. The new review is ready for you at Steve’s Digicams.
The Fuji HS50-EXR is the current leader of the Fuji HS-superzoom series and it has a new review at ePhotozine. It is not known whether Fuji will introduce an X-S1 replacement, so until then, the “leadership” among newer models “belongs” to the HS50-EXR.

The RAWzoomers as we like to call them (superzooms with RAW) continue to increase their ranks, you may have missed the Fuji SL1000, it is a 50x (yes, fifty times) optical zoom camera with RAW and a 1/2.3″ sensor. And it has been reviewed at Photography Blog which has also remodeled their website.
Superzooms with RAW are a sub-segment of the superzoom market that is getting an uptick in new models, with even Canon embracing RAW for superzooms. Here is a new review of the Fuji HS50-EXR at Pocket Lint. The HS50-EXR has a 1/2″ sensor, in-between the more common 1/1.7-8″ and 1/2.3x” sizes found in most of today’s fixed lens digital cameras.
For the purposes of this blog, we group all the 1/2.x” cameras together under the 1/2.x” sensor size, so it includes the 1/2″ and 1/2.3″ and 1/2.5″. Likewise, we group the 1/1.x” cameras together under the 1/1.x” sensor size, which includes 1/1.6″, 1/1.7″, 1/1.8″ etc.

Once upon a time, a superzoom camera with an f2.8 constant aperture and RAW would have sent the photography forums in multiple states of ecstasy. Now a days, with so many cameras and systems out there, we have all become a bit more demanding and jaded
